About Sarah

Fitness enthusiast.
Life-long student and teacher.

Sarah hails from the great state of Pure Michigan, where she was raised in Northville and attended Northville High School.  She did gymnastics from the age of 4-18, competitive since age 7.  Much of her perspective in health and wellness and her career aspirations have stemmed from her gymnastics background.  She attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) to earn her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in biomedical engineering, with a concentration in biomechanics.  Injury prevention and rehabilitation fascinates her.  Upon graduating, Sarah has continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is pursuing her PhD in bioengineering, doing research on tendon injuries and the role of inflammation in the adaptation or maladaptation of tendon and muscle to exercise.  When she graduates, she hopes to teach.  Sarah, her husband (Nick), her Persian cat (Coco Chanel), and fish that come and go currently live in Philadelphia.  In her free time, Sarah enjoys exercising, reading, cooking, and photography.  Her favorite food is Yogorino fro-yo with semi-sweet chocolate sauce and strawberries.
